So, this will be fun, right? Whenever the writers block hits I’ll dip into the massive tub full of notes passed to and fro amongst my friends and me from junior high (1978-79)
through high school (1980-1984). Pretty hysterical getting into the heads of a bunch of 13 year old girls (and boys).
Clearly we had LOTS of time on our hands.
Remember all these acronyms? Lylasa…Love ya like a sister always. That other one above it…I have no clue. One things for certain….as a 7th grade girl you had to know these, you had to have a fresh pack of pentel pens at the ready, you had to perfect your bubble writing, and wow…change ink colors in your notes for every. single. word.
Yikes…no wonder she’s drawing pictures of blood shot eyes, after crafting this colorful work of art/note
Spelling? Yikes…either Jennifer wasn’t the sharpest knife, or her English teacher tanked.

He! Whats up? I’m in Mrs Davis’s room. She makes me mad because we have to get in the desk a certain way. We are copping things off the board. I dont like mr hunter either.
I don’t have him but I still don’t like him. I am not sure if I am going to the game Friday. I dont usally go to the basketball games but I guess I will go.
Saturday Im supposed to go get me some new shoes because saturday when I went bowling my shoes tore up. I better go before she takes up this note. oh heh. I am selling rex I have only sold 1 bottle I told coach adkins I sold 3 bottles. well gotta go for now write back soon.

Yes. Even boys fell prey to the made-up spellings we girls were so fond of. Luff, luv…all perfectly good ways to spell love.
So…It’s FRIDAY people! I am having a hard time with motivation today (as evidenced above) but also by the fact that after I took the kids to school I went back home and crawled back in my bed. Then I took a long, hot bath and eventually made my way to the office. Then I had a leisurely lunch with Judge Judy, and put together this INCREDIBLE blog post. I guess next I may have to do some work…but this stack is daunting ):
Anybody got a better idea? I could easily be talked out of the office today…
